SOJOURN suggests a destination of deliverance and redemption.
We embrace renewed life as we journey together in the grace of Jesus.

The Pulse  |  Get Involved

To be alive you have to have a pulse. Whatever or wherever it is, plug into to where your heart beats the most!

The name "Pulse" captures the reality that God's heartbeat both gathers and sends us. He is a God who has died to gather us to Himself, and He sends us out as His representatives on earth as the incarnation of Jesus in this world to bring others to Himself.

What are you here for? What are you doing with your time? How do you worship? In music, giving, service, teaching...? Where are you sent? Are you a musician and interested in music worship? Band outreach? Have a heart for youth? For the elderly? The hurting? The divorced? The poor?

Whatever or wherever it is, let us know how to plug you itno where your heart beats the most.

5th Sunday was great!

5th Sunday was great! width=

On the fifth Sunday of this month, you won't find us in a building . This is a step for us to help keep our perspective off ourselves and on our community. We meet at our regular time (10:30) at the church and then break off into groups that head off around the city of Evansville to help make a difference. We only have a couple of rules about this experiment: 1. You can't sleep in and count it as a day off. (sorry) 2. You can't give your offering to the church. (find someone to bless)

Our children are active!

Children’s Sunday

Children’s Sunday width=

We enjoyed our Summer Children’s Sundays. Usually, we send the kiddos to their own age-appropriate classes, but this Sunday, they stayed with the adults. This is not only to give the children’s teachers a break and a chance to be a part of the main church sermon, but it also gives the kids a chance [...]

Youth Jam

Youth Jam width=

The Sojourn youth group held its kickoff on Saturday, June 7. It was a night of food, fun, and some really rockin’ music, thanks to a little band named Meridian. There was Pizza Chef pizza, chips and soda to fill the hungry bellies… Guitar Hero got the party started… Then the band took the stage and really rocked [...]

We are very thankful for the work that Courtney has been doing caring for our toddlers. She is a joy to have around! She has been great with them, incredibly patient with late parents (and pastors :-)), and patient with rowdy kids!

Thursday nights are now Thursday and Friday nights!

We are a unique blend of people who journey, love, serve and learn together to become more like Jesus. We have a Thursday night group at 6:30 and Friday nights at 7:30. We share some food stuff-of-life conversation when we come together. Each group establishes its own “rhythm” for their experience together.
